Hania by Anya Cole

At 9 years old, Anya Cole's mother taught her that “if you need it, you make it,” and a young Cole learned the craft of sewing and knitting early on. Flash forward many years, and those skills became a life line: as a single mother living in West Germany, Cole knit to support herself and her daughter while far away from family and friends. The result of her labors, buttery soft hats, scarves and sweaters in rich, saturated hues, were nothing short of spectacular, and a business was born. Now living in New York City, Anya is still knitting--not out of necessity, but out of passion.
