Paola Dangond

Colombia born designer Paola Dangond began her career sketching handbags while she was in high school, but early on those who knew her realized her talent was considerably more promising than most teen doodlers. Flash forward and in 2005 Dangond launched her eponymous line of sumptuous bags which feature classic silhouettes, bold angles, statement exterior hardware and luxurious suede interiors in striking colors. It's clear that Dangond has impeccable taste and an eye for color (she credits the rich, Caribbean culture of her home town, Barranquilla for the sensibility), but also that she has a real understanding of interior design (she has a degree) and architecture.
