Meli Melo

For as long as she can remember, handbag designer Melissa Del Bono has been a bag devotee. Recalling her time living in the Aeolian Islands, Melissa describes her first love affair with a bag. "It was a huge wicker basket and I took it everywhere! We were inseparable!" Melissa launched Meli Melo in 2005, using materials from the finest Italian factories. "My handbags are sculptural, yet understated. They are subtle with no big logos, yet the distinctive shapes make them instantly recognizable." Her best selling design, the Thela, is influenced by how a woman carries her bag. "I wanted to design a bag that is not only practical and stylish, but also makes the wearer look and feel elegant by the way she carries it."
