Alexandra Satine spent five years working in the design studio of the dress division of Jones Apparel Group in New York City, where she learned first hand how the needs of a busy, working woman effect the way she shops for clothes. What's she looking for? Quality, innovation and versatility. Satine knew she wanted to help meet this woman's needs, but before going out on her own she switched gears from clothes to accessories, developing a line of convertible handbags. It was the combination of Satine's apparel experience combined with her love of the type of old-fashioned craftsmanship that she grew up with in her Valencia, Venezuela homeland, that proved the perfect cocktail for her brand of creativity. Launched in 2009, Satine's line of handbags was like no other, and continues to be so--made of top quality materials and featuring clever designs, the bags are expressly made to transform from day to evening in an instant.
